Band of the Governor General’s Foot Guards

The Governor General’s Foot Guards (GGFG) Band is the most senior primary reserve band in the Canadian Army, having served the National Capital Region since its formation in 1872.

Based at the Cartier Square Drill Hall in Ottawa, the ensemble is iconic for its scarlet tunics and bearskin hats, famously seen during the Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill and at state functions at Rideau Hall.

I began performing part-time with the Governor General’s Foot Guards Band after I moved to Ottawa in 2025. Learn more here.
