I founded Helix Brass to help musicians design their ideal mouthpiece. By building a database of high-precision 3D scans, I developed an algorithm that maps the geometry of any model on the market using seven key variables. These parameters can be tweaked using the mouthpiece builder application on our website to offer unparalleled customization.
In addition to custom designs, Helix Brass offers standard models in POM plastic—an engineering polymer that provides a superior feel and sound to traditional plastic mouthpieces.
We are currently finishing our new workshop in Ottawa and look forward to resuming production in the spring of 2026.
